Localized discomfort, headaches, facial paraesthesia deformities, sensory deficits, olfactory loss, ocular abnormalities are common complaints. The diagnosis PSD confirmed by radiological investigations. surgical treatment’s objective to return both form function affected normal. We briefly present our experience with pneumosinus discuss characteristics this disease based on specialised literature.

Complex Frontal Pneumosinus Dilatans Associated with Meningioma: A Report of Two Cases and Associated Literature Review
Introduction Pneumosinus dilatans (PSD) is a rare phenomenon involving the expansion of the paranasal sinuses, without bony destruction or a mass. Previously documented cases have demonstrated simple expansion of a solitary air cell. We present two unique cases of PSD in the presence of meningioma, in which complex new cells developed within the frontal sinus. One of the two patients developed...
متن کاملPneumosinus dilatans frontalis: a case report.
Deformity of the forehead is usually the first clinical presentation of the abnormally large frontal sinus caused by pneumosinus dilatans. We report the diagnosis and surgical treatment of a case. The type of osteotomy we describe is recommended as a method of surgical treatment for this condition when the aesthetic problem is the major complaint.
متن کاملPneumocele vs. pneumosinus dilatans: review of the literature with a case of frontal sinus pneumocele.
Pneumoceles of the frontal sinus are very rare conditions, characterized by abnormal expansion of the frontal sinus. The patient usually complains of slowly changing facial contours. The etiology and pathogenesis of pneumoceles remains unclear. A case of pneumocele of the frontal sinus is presented, and the differentiated features of the disease are discussed.
متن کاملPneumosinus dilatans of the sphenoid sinus.
Four cases of pneumosinus dilatans of the sphenoid sinus are reported, supplementing the eight cases previously reported in the literature. This rare entity is characterized by expansion of a paranasal sinus that contains only air. In one patient, severe visual loss due to compression of the optic canal by the adjacent enlarged sinus was seen. Galactorrhea occurred in one patient, and three of ...
متن کاملPneumosinus dilatans: rare cause of slowly changing frontal contours.
UNLABELLED Frontal pneumosinus dilatans is a rare entity that is documented only by a few reports. It is an abnormal expansion of the aerated frontal sinus, with sinus walls of normal thickness. The expansion of the bone may be generalized or focal. It is not only an aesthetic problem but may also have functional consequences. We herein present the case of a 23-year-old woman who had been refer...
